On Tuesday, September 21, at 17:00, the 2nd round of the Teskahor Prague Cup took place, where we hosted a participant of the Prague Top league — the team Uhelné Sklady Praha. The opposing team is full of such famous names by Czech standards as Zilvar, Belán or Klán. The latter player even has started for Zbrojovka Brno, a team from the Czech top league.
The match started very cheerfully, in the 8th minute we already managed to get ahead 1-0. Our striker Rustle threw the goalkeeper after a cross from the right. However, unfortunately, we were not happy for a long time. The football player of the guests, Klán, confirmed his level when he hit our goal immediately a minute later and managed to even the score after an individual dribble when he bypassed the defenders alone and went one-on-one on our goalkeeper Garapa – 1:1. Our team continued to press and, in the 18th minute, increased the score by 2:1, and Priymachenko scored the goal. We dictated the whole first half, but the young football guests’ player Dzhakhoda still scored a goal for us. We went to the break with a score of 2:2.
The whole second half was level and fighting, as our opponent was well prepared physically and technically. After a foul on our striker, we earned a penalty but could not fulfil it. Nevertheless, they managed to win the victory when Kuzmenko broke through on the right flank, leaving all the opponent’s defence behind him and shot right on target past the goalkeeper, 3-2! The opposing players had no choice but to go all out for the final assault, but we could stand up and keep the result we needed until the end of the match.
Uhelné Sklady Praha was a powerful and motivated opponent for us, with whom we were able to test our current form. We are glad that we managed to hold an interesting, although a nervous match, and at the same time reach the 3rd round, where we will have to fight FC Zličín, also a member of the Prague Higher League.
