Home-field advantage and control of the game: MSM prevails in a high-scoring 4-3 match
MSM’s 19th-round match in the Prague Premier League was played at home and set a fast pace and high level of intensity from the opening minutes. In the game against FK Řeporyje, the team faced early difficulties but managed to regroup and demonstrate maturity and character.
As early as the 15th minute, the hosts were reduced to 10 men—Mateo Castellanos Izquierdo was sent off, which significantly affected the course of the match. The visitors quickly capitalized on their numerical advantage, and in the 19th minute, Michael Kostka opened the scoring.
However, MSM reacted instantly. Just a minute later, in the 20th minute, Valeriy Yukhymenko equalized, restoring the team’s confidence and control of the game.
After the break, MSM came out fully focused. In the 47th minute, Rodion Shkliaruk put the home team ahead, and a few minutes later, in the 54th, Maksym Balandin confidently converted a penalty kick—3–1. The team continued to press and extended their lead: in the 65th minute, Yehor Chudinov made it 4–1 with a precise free kick.
Nevertheless, the visitors did not give up and managed to bring the game back to life. In the 68th minute, Jan Linhart narrowed the gap with a header, and in the 81st, Michael Kostka scored his second goal, making it 4–3.
The end of the match was truly tense. MSM had to play with maximum concentration, holding off the opponent’s pressure and managing the ball effectively while down a man. Despite the pressure, the team held firm and secured the victory.
This game was a prime example of character, discipline, and the ability to keep a cool head even in the most difficult circumstances. MSM demonstrates not only offensive potential but also true team resilience.
