On Saturday, May 18, 2024, the match of the 27th round of the 1st Prague League took place at the Nebušice Stadium, which provided the public with a real football show. The meeting between the local team FC Nebušice and the MSM Football Academy (International Youth Union) ended in a 2:2 draw, where both teams showed their desire to win.
First half: a goalless start, but not without emotion
The match started at 10:30. The first half was without goals scored, but with many interesting moments and yellow cards. The FC Nebušice team fought for the second place in the group, which gave them the opportunity to move up a class next year, so the game was very tough from the opponent, sometimes even “dirty”
Second half: An explosion of goals and a thrilling final
The real drama happened in the second half. The lead opened in the 41st minute, when Jaroslav Maciej from FC Nebušice converted the penalty superbly. The joy of the home team did not last long – two minutes later, Nebušić’s Matviy Kovalov leveled the balance with a goal. Both teams did not let up and in the 70th minute Anton Dzhurilo put us ahead by scoring the second goal.
Just three minutes later, however, Fedor Shabalin from FC Nebušice responded with an own goal to equalize the score. The game was not only marked by goals, the players of both teams received several yellow cards during the match. One of the main ones was the second yellow card for our player Konstantin Oliarnik in the 84th minute which led to his sending off and left us in the minority. The home team couldn’t do more even in the majority.
A 2-2 draw was a fair result of this thrilling match. Both teams displayed a high level of play and a tenacity that added intrigue to the tournament table. FC Nebušice showed that they can recover in difficult situations, and MSM Football Academy showed that they are not afraid to play attacking football even in the minority and fight for victory until the final whistle.
